Regulatory watch: track changes, decide, and leave a trail

Delegated acts, guidance, harmonised standards and national implementation — a change register on Frameworks → Changes: assess relevance, record the decision, and turn planned actions into scheduled reviews.

Frameworks → Changes (under Configure) is the regulatory-change register. The EU AI Act is not finished — delegated acts, Commission guidance, harmonised standards and national implementing laws keep arriving, and Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 has already moved its dates once — and an auditor will eventually ask not just "did you notice?" but "what did you decide, and when?".

While the frameworks-crosswalk switch is off, the Frameworks screen — and this tab with it — is absent from the rail. The regulatory updates still reach the Dashboard, and Aria's Inbox still receives the signals.

The register

Three counts — Open changes, Signed off, Tracked total — sit above the register. Each entry is one regulatory development: what it is, its source, the date, and your assessment, moving through New → Assessing → Action planned → Signed off:

  • Relevance — does it touch your systems, your role, your sector?
  • Decision — no action, monitor, or action required, with the reasoning recorded.
  • Planned action — when action is required, name the system and a due date; the action becomes a scheduled review with an owner, and its completion appends a dated entry to the dossier trail like any other review.

That last step is the point: a regulatory change that requires action leaves the register and enters the same tracked, audited machinery as the rest of your compliance work — it cannot quietly rot in a "we should look at this" list.

Feeding the register

Latest regulatory signals lists what the tracked EU feeds have published — the Official Journal, the AI Office, the Data Protection Commission, the EDPB — and one press promotes a signal into the register. Tracked sources shows which feeds are live. Add entries by hand as your team spots developments elsewhere. A signal can also arrive in Aria's Inbox as a proposal to bring affected due dates forward, or to file it here; either is applied only when you approve it. Aria can summarise a development against your portfolio, but the relevance decision is yours, and the register records that a human made it.
