Why we're keeping Veritome in public beta until late November 2026

The founder on why Veritome's launch moved to late November 2026: what is being polished, what joining the free public beta gets you now, and the road from an Abacus.ai prototype to Veritome.

Key takeaways
  1. 01Veritome's full launch is planned for late November 2026, one year before the EU AI Act's Annex III high-risk obligations apply.
  2. 02Until then the platform is a free public beta: free up to three AI systems, with no card.
  3. 03Organisations that join before 01.12.2026 keep the founding rate, 30% off for as long as they stay.
  4. 04Beta users see every upgrade as it lands and can shape what is built through direct feedback to the founder.

The launch moved, and here is the honest reason

We had a launch date. We moved it. The short reason: our first real users arrived on the platform only in the last two weeks, and the first thing real users do is show you everything a test plan missed.

Launching around them would have meant shipping the version we had planned instead of the version they are showing us we need. So Veritome stays in a free public beta until the full launch, planned for late November 2026. That is one year before the EU AI Act's high-risk obligations for Annex III systems apply, which is the year our customers will need the product at its best.

What we are polishing

Most of the work is not new features. It is making what exists line up, read clearly and hold up under real use:

  • How the compliance tools fit together and present inside the app, above all the ISO/IEC 42001 and ISO/IEC 27001 programmes, so that one piece of work visibly counts everywhere it should.
  • Security: hardening the application and testing it, before anybody's real compliance records depend on it.
  • Design: one consistent system across the website, the app, the Help Centre and the Academy.
  • User experience and workflows: every screen, every step and every empty state is being evaluated against how people actually use it.

None of that is a reason to wait. It is a reason to watch it happen.

How we got here

Veritome did not start as Veritome, and it did not start in its current shape. It has been rebuilt more than once, each time because what we learned made the previous version the wrong one to keep.

  1. 30.01.2026
    Relay Labs is founded

A small, AI-native software studio in Dublin, set up to build compliance software for European SMEs.

  2. Early 2026
    A prototype on Abacus.ai

The first version, already called AIComply, was a simple prototype built on the Abacus.ai platform: enough to test whether an EU AI Act tool for smaller companies made sense at all. Dark, bold, and promising more than it could do.

The AIComply landing page in January 2026: a dark page reading 'EU AI Act Compliance Made Simple', with a dashboard preview and a 'Platform launching soon' button.
  3. Early 2026
    The prototype becomes a monster

Every idea got a menu item. The prototype grew into a massive menu that could do a little of everything and none of it well, which is how we learned what the product should not be.

  4. 09.04.2026
Rebuilt from scratch in Claude Code, as AIComply

We moved development to Claude Code and started again from an empty repository, keeping the lessons and none of the code.

  5. 07.06.2026
    AIComply becomes Veritome

Several other applications were already called AI Comply. A compliance product cannot share its name with its neighbours, so it became Veritome, at veritome.eu.

  6. June 2026
The free EU AI Act handbook

Sixteen chapters on the Act in plain English, free to download, and the first piece of Veritome with a visual identity of its own.

The cover of the Veritome EU AI Act Compliance Handbook, edition 2.1, June 2026, with its table of contents.
  7. 23.06.2026
    Veritome Academy opens

Free EU AI Act courses for the Article 4 AI literacy duty, with a certificate of completion.

  8. 27.07.2026
    The menu grows again

Six menu sections, a tools group and a partner hub. Every feature was there, and finding your way through them was work. The monster had come back in a better suit.

The Veritome dashboard in July 2026: a countdown to the high-risk obligations, an organisation score and a sidebar with six collapsible sections plus tools.
  9. Summer 2026
Looking for a look of our own

We explored directions that did not look like every other compliance tool: living maps, provable ledgers, calm instruments. Most of them were thrown away, which is what explorations are for.

A design exploration titled 'Three ways to make compliance truth look like nothing else in the category', showing alternative landing-page directions.
  10. 09.08.2026
    Every AI system, accounted for

The design that went out to the first launch directories: the product's own dashboard as its argument.

A Veritome promotional image from August 2026 reading 'Every AI system, accounted for.' above a screenshot of the dashboard.
  11. 27.09.2026
    One model for five frameworks

The EU AI Act became the spine, GDPR always on beside it, and ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC 27001 and the NIST AI RMF one programme page each. A fourteen-item menu became five groups.

  12. Late September 2026
    The first real users

Real organisations with real AI systems, and the feedback that comes with them.

  13. 05.10.2026
    The beta is extended

We chose polish over a date. The free public beta stays open until the full launch.

  14. Late November 2026
    The full launch

The fully functional platform: five frameworks, integrations and the AI assistant, with paid plans opening.

From a prototype to Veritome, in the screens of each stage.

Why join now

A beta is the one time a product is shaped by the people using it rather than by the people selling it. If you join now:

  • It is free up to three AI systems, with no card and no trial clock.
  • You keep the founding rate: 30% off your plan for as long as you stay, for any organisation created before 01.12.2026.
  • You see every upgrade as it lands, rather than reading about it in release notes after launch.
  • You can change what we build. When something breaks, reads badly or simply does not fit how you work, tell us, for whatever reason. It reaches me, not a queue.

The workspace has a direct line to the founder, and info@veritome.eu works too. Not ready to sign up? The free obligation check answers whether the EU AI Act applies to one of your systems in nine questions, with no account.

What comes after the launch

The launch is not the end of the story. Early in 2027 the Veritome family grows. That is all I will say for now.

Frequently asked

When does Veritome launch?

The full launch is planned for late November 2026. Until then Veritome is a free public beta.

Is the Veritome beta free?

Yes. The public beta is free up to three AI systems, with no card. Organisations created before 01.12.2026 also keep the founding rate, 30% off for as long as they stay, once paid plans open.

Why was the Veritome launch moved?

The first real users arrived only shortly before the original date. Rather than launch around them, Veritome stays in beta while the app is polished with their feedback: framework alignment, security, design, user experience and workflows.
