Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to everyone who accesses the Veritome service — account owners, invited users, and anyone acting on their behalf. Capitalised terms have the meanings in the Toolkit Subscription Agreement.

2. Prohibited use

You must not use the service to:

• break any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate others doing so;
• infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person;
• upload or transmit malicious code, or content that is unlawful, defamatory, or harmful;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our systems;
• probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except under an authorised, written security-testing arrangement;
• interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the service;
• use the service to build or train a competing product, or to scrape it at scale;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
• resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties except under a written Reseller or Partner Agreement; or
• misrepresent any output of the service as a Veritome attestation, certification, or a document accepted by a regulator.

3. Fair use & security

Usage limits (including AI-assistant and API limits) apply per your Tier. Do not circumvent technical limits or access controls. Keep your credentials secure, use the required multi-factor authentication, and tell us promptly about any suspected compromise.

4. Your content

You are responsible for the data you upload and for ensuring you have the right to process it. Do not upload special-category personal data unless you have a lawful basis and have considered whether the service is appropriate for it — the service is not designed to hold sensitive special-category data.
